Description: CHAMPRO-OP-ES is the modified starch specially developed for oil and grease resistance and for the sustainable development of food packaging. It is recyclable, biodegradable safety materials.
CHAMPRO-OP-ES can be used alone or can be used in combination with other products. CHAMPRO-OP-ES does not contain any non-biodegradable polymers such as PE, and it is fully biodegradable. Its unique properties are suitable for surface sizing and coating process. The film it forms on the surface of paper provides excellent oil (grease) barrier properties.
Advantages: The main ingredient of CHAMPRO-OP-ES is tapioca starch. It complies with the following standards.
US FDA 21CFR 178.3520: Industrial starch modified.
US FDA 21CFR 176.179: Components of paper and paperboard in contact with
aqueous and fatty foods.
US FDA 21CFR176.180: Components of paper and paperboard in contact with dry
food.
Dosage: When using CHAMPRO-OP-ES alone as the oil and grease resistant agent, we recommend 4~6%/T paper (paperboard) for surface sizing, 3~6%/T paper (paperboard) for coating. The specific dosage depends on the customers’ requirements on the oil and grease resistance grade.
