Description: CHAMPRO-SS1585 is a compound specially developed to solve problems arising from the hardening and embrittlement of surface sizing starch after film forming and drying. The unique macromolecular structure of the product can slow down the condensation reaction among starch molecules while obviously increase the toughness of starch film so that the surface strength of paper will be improved. Therefore, the cracking issue and other complaints will be reduced.

Generally, it can be directly added into the starch dissolving tank and cooked together with the dissolved starch before going for the sizing application. It can also be added to the working tank for the surface sizing starch after cooking.

Recommended dosage (against dry starch) is 10%~25% for starch dissolving tank, or 20%~35% for surface sizing starch working tank. The actual dosage depends on the starch category and quantities of surface sizing. The optimized dosage is decided from the lab evaluation.
